If your cat accidentally nibbles on a piece of ripe tomato, there is no need to panic, but I would not recommend offering tomatoes intentionally. More importantly, pet owners should ensure that their cats do not have access to tomato plants, unripe tomatoes, or tomato-based foods that contain added seasonings or toxic ingredients.
